Accounts Payable Specialist and Accounting Assistant Location Redding, CA :

Bookkeeper

Heavy Construction Engineering Company seeking an accounts payable specialist.

Job Duties Overview:

• Follow Company System Procedures to sort invoices, obtain management coding and approval and enter in the accounting software
• Code credit card statements and maintain credit card records
• Prepare and process check runs
• Monthly bank account reconciliation
• Track preliminary notices and certificates of insurance
• Manage vendor inquiries and statements
• Maintain equipment insurance spreadsheet
• Process W9's and 1099's
• Cross train with payroll
• Assist other departments as needed
• Assist with telephones
• Special assignments as assigned

Job Qualifications:

Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum of 2 years accounting experience

Minimum of 1 year payroll experience

Ability to handle multiple interruptions and adjust priorities regularly

Excellent communication skills verbal and written

Proficient in Excel

Individual must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and have strong organizational skills and get along well with other team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
