Position:  AI Engineer (Multimodal Focus)

Role Overview: We seek an AI Engineer to develop vertical AI agents with conversational and voice capabilities. You'll create LangChain/LangGraph-based systems on Vertex AI that interpret emotional context from speech, text, and visual inputs.

Core Responsibilities: Vertical AI Agent Development

• Build  domain-specific wellness agents  with coaching reasoning capabilities
• Implement  agentic frameworks  (LangChain, LangGraph) for RAG systems
• Develop  specialized memory architectures  for long-context personalization

Conversational & Voice AI Integration

• Create  emotion-aware dialogue systems  using speech/text inputs
• Optimize  voice AI pipelines  (ASR/TTS) with emotional prosody control
• Design  real-time conversational interfaces  for Flutter apps

Multimodal Emotion Intelligence

• Engineer  cross-modal fusion techniques  (voice tonality + text sentiment)
• Fine-tune LLMs (Gemini, Claude) for  emotional alignment and ethical responses
• Research  affective computing methods  for cultural sensitivity

Performance Optimization

• Develop  Firebase-integrated APIs  (Python/Node.js) with <300ms latency
• Implement  cost-efficient inference  architectures (<$0.0005 per interaction)
• Build  auto-evaluation systems  for conversational quality

Qualifications  /  Technical Requirements

• 3+ years building  production AI systems  
• Mastery of  Vertex AI stack (Pipelines, Model Garden, tuning tools)
• Strong background with frameworks like LangChain / LangGraph
• Proficiency in  conversational and  voice AI  
• Experience with  vertical agent development (domain-specific reasoning)
• Demonstrated success in  latency optimization for real-time AI
• Shipped 2+ AI products with conversational/voice components
• Experience with  ethical AI validation

Equity-Based Compensation Opportunity:  

As part of the SOULCHI team, you'll take part in our equity-based compensation model, aligning your success with the success of our business. After much research we have found the fairest equity model for a startup. We use the Slicing Pie model. First phase is equity-based only, which we are currently in. Equity calculations move dynamically based on your fair market rate and actual number of hours worked. In the second phase, which happens at the break-even point, the equity freezes at each member's current earned percentage and compensation switches to salary + benefits. Your equity percentage gets paid out annually as part of the profit sharing. This is more than a job; it's an opportunity to own a piece of the future.
