Job Description

This is a  DIRECT Hire Applications Engineer  opportunity with a precision machine shop that has been in business for over 30 years in Morgan County, Indiana.

Work with company that has grown by 25% year after year since 2014 and offers machining equipment that is less than 5 years old.

The  Applications Engineer  will work alongside quality, engineering, and operations teams to develop products per clients' designs. This includes participating in business development efforts to establish a loyal customer base and drive revenue growth.

Application Engineer's Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage workload through all application development processes.
• Spend significant time in the shop, programming on the machines, and developing processes.
• Utilize CAD systems and work with MasterCAM/Solidworks interfaces.
• Identify and implement improvements for software and application development.
• Train and instruct operators on job duties.
• Contribute to the specifications of company designs, features, benefits, and overall product offerings.
• Identify and inventory tools, supplies, and products for application development processes.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and sales teams to ensure successful company operations.
• Ensure the company consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Pay/Benefits:

• Pay starts at $80,000-$100,000 (based on experience)

Job Experience

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Precision Machining environment and/or Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in managing application development processes and teams.
• Proficiency in using software development tools and methodologies.
• Ability to train and instruct operators on job duties and safety procedures.
• Effective collaboration with purchasing, quality, sales, and other departments.
