The Goddard School on Covell is looking for an energetic, professional cook to add to our faculty! Daily Responsibilities:

• Follow a pre-made menu using pre-written recipes with efficiency
• Maintain knowledge of children's allergies and the ability to accommodate restrictions of children enrolled in school
• Prepare and deliver food for 200+ students to multiple classrooms following a daily schedule
• Ability to work independently and under the instruction of our Kitchen Manager
• Ensuring food items are always in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations relating to food handling
• Calculate portion sizes according to state regulations
• Maintain the overall cleanliness in the kitchen and applicable appliances
• Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients prior to prepping or serving
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
• Unboxing and organizing food items for future use
• Store leftover inventory appropriately according to state and federal guidelines
• Execute opening and closing procedures

• Food Service Certification or willingness to complete upon hiring
• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Willing to undergo a background check
