Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures that facilitate the collection, storage, and analysis of large datasets. This role requires a strong understanding of data engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable data pipelines using ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow from various sources to data warehouses.
Develop and maintain data models that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Utilize cloud services such as AWS and Azure Data Lake for data storage and processing.
Optimize database performance through effective indexing, partitioning, and query optimization techniques.
Implement server-side scripting using Shell Scripting for automation of routine tasks.
Work with big data technologies such as Hadoop to manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
Create RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless integration between different systems.
Participate in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Skills

Must have 5 - 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer / Software Engineer.
Build foundational full-stack data infrastructure
Develop ELT/ETL workflows (using tools like Fivetran) to ingest data from source systems into the Snowflake data warehouse. Ensuring reliable, automated pipelines.
Design the warehouse schema and data models that represent our business (customers, transactions, events, etc.) and standardize metrics and dimensions company-wide.
Create dashboards and reports that democratize access to data within the company
Build user-facing in-app embedded dashboards
Work closely with the product, engineering, finance and ops teams to build out product roadmaps and measure success.
Understanding of Agile methodologies for project management.
Ability to write efficient code in VBA for automation tasks.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to vaticinate trends from complex datasets.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
