Description We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Pleasant Hill, California. In this Desktop Support role, you will provide direct technical support to users, assisting with hardware and software troubleshooting, equipment repairs, and user onboarding processes. This is a Desktop Support role long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to work hands-on with diverse technologies and systems. This desktop Support Role does require some travel in between sites in Contra Costa County. Responsibilities: - Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for walk-in users with a hands-on approach. - Provide clear technical guidance and support, addressing user inquiries and explaining processes effectively. - Perform minor repairs on computers, mobile devices, and other essential business tools. - Manage and distribute loaner equipment such as laptops, keyboards, mice, and chargers. - Demonstrate standard business tools and applications to users, ensuring familiarity and ease of use. - Receive and process technical equipment dropped off for repair. - Coordinate and execute new user onboarding, including computer hardware setup at various office locations. - Build and image up to 20 new computers weekly, ensuring devices are ready for immediate use. - Configure and set up profiles for up to 20 new users each week, ensuring seamless access to systems and tools. Requirements - 3-5 years of experience delivering desktop support or concierge services with direct face-to-face customer interaction. - Proficiency in troubleshooting across multiple platforms, including Mac, Windows, mobile devices, and various applications. - Strong technical skills in PC hardware and Microsoft Windows 10/11. - Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation in learning new technologies quickly. - Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on providing user-friendly solutions. - Effective communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
