As the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager, you will be responsible for leading safety initiatives, ensuring environmental compliance, and managing relationships with relevant Federal, State, and local contacts across multiple locations. Your core objective is to implement EHS programs that safeguard employees and mitigate company risk, in collaboration with local management. This role also involves investigating accidents and employee complaints, and working with plant leadership to put preventative measures in place. Coordinating and implementing the application of safety rules, policies, and initiatives that help to create a safe workplace.
Maintaining OSHA logs, EHS records, and reporting for internal and external use.
Leading all plant-level environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives (hazardous waste, air emissions, water, obtaining and maintaining permits, and etc.) both directly and in coordination with internal specialists and external consultants. May include multiple facilities.
Leading site activities with regulatory agencies to verify compliance, resolve situations, and maintain a cooperative working relationship.
Escalating/reporting any potential violations and implements corrections as needed.
Conducting frequent safety and environmental inspections and procedural audits in the field and has the skills, knowledge, and ability to taking immediate corrective action if required.
Recommending and implementing EHS related capital projects for supported facilities.
Investigating all workplace accidents and environmental incidents through root cause analysis and recommending policies, procedures, and/or other actions to correct problems and prevent future occurrences.
Partnering with Global Security to implement programs and technology that protect employees and assets.

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering or related science degree.
Minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience within EHS, in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge and understanding of applicable EHS regulations ensuring facility compliance with government agencies (i.e. OSHA, EPA, DNR, etc.) and safety regulatory compliance requirements.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing environment safety (i.e. industrial hygiene, ergonomics, machinery guards, interlock systems, industrial vehicle training, PPE, and etc.).
Experience in implementing comprehensive safety, environmental, and sustainability projects.
Ability to investigate and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and use sound judgment to draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Computer skills, data analysis and reporting tools, and other applicable applications.
Ability to work independently to carry tasks/projects through to completion while meeting established deadlines.
Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location.
