We're seeking a Superintendent in Tampa, FL and Orlando, FL with proven leadership on K-12 and higher education projects who combines technical expertise with exceptional people and safety leadership. In this role, you'll oversee school projects across Central Florida , from new ground-up builds to complex occupied campus renovations.
Your ability to manage sensitive school environments, coordinate subcontractors, and foster trusted relationships with local jurisdictions and school boards will be key to ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Lead field operations for educational projects , including ground-up schools and phased work on occupied campuses.
Maintain full safety oversight on site, enforcing compliance and cultivating a culture where safety is a shared priority-especially critical in active school environments.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors-holding them accountable for scope, quality, safety, and schedule performance.
Apply deep knowledge of Florida school construction standards (including tilt-wall, masonry, and steel structures) to solve field challenges and ensure compliance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with school boards, inspectors, permitting authorities, and local officials to avoid delays and ensure smooth project execution.
Collaborate with senior leadership and marketing on proposal efforts, including preparing project insights and presenting professionally to school boards and district representatives.
Oversee daily construction activities, proactively addressing risks, resolving conflicts, and driving results.
Partner closely with Project Managers, architects, and district stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.
Demonstrated experience as a Lead Superintendent on educational projects in Florida (ground-up schools, additions, or occupied campus renovations).
Expertise in tilt-wall, masonry, and steel construction methods common to school projects.
Proven ability to lead subcontractors in the field with accountability for safety, quality, and performance.
Understanding of school construction requirements including security, phasing, and minimizing disruption to ongoing campus operations.
Strong safety knowledge and experience leading site-wide programs in sensitive, occupied environments.
Professional presence and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate on proposals and present confidently to school boards, district leaders, and community stakeholders .
Excellent organizational skills with a problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail.
Willingness to work across all counties in Central Florida .
