Work Location: Concord, CA (Fully Onsite, not remote)

Employment Details: Exempt, Monday - Friday, during business hours,

Compensation: $86,320-$117,500/ year

About the role: We are seeking an experienced Grants Manager to join our team. As a key player in achieving our mission and funding goals, the Grants Manager will oversee all aspects of grant administration, from research, submission, to compliance and reporting. You will collaborate with various departments to secure funding through governmental, foundation, and corporate grants.

What You’ll Do

  • Grant Management: Oversee $20+ million in government and private funding. Manage all aspects of the grants process, including proposal development, submission, and tracking.
  • Proposal Writing & Submission: Work with senior leadership to draft and submit proposals for government contracts, private foundations, and corporate funders.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with program, data, and finance teams to ensure alignment on grant proposals, data tracking, and compliance.
  • Strategic Planning: Research and track funding opportunities, develop an annual private grant strategy, and cultivate relationships with institutional funders.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support the grant writing team, ensuring efficient project oversight and guidance.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in development or fundraising, with a strong track record of submitting successful grant proposals.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience managing HUD, and federal grant processes and regulations is highly desired.
  • Background in non-profit sectors focusing on homelessness, housing or underserved is a plus!

Position Requirements

  • Access to reliable personal transportation required, including a DMV record that permits driver to be insured under SHELTER, Inc.’s automobile coverage.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Must provide TB test clearance
