Pay Rate: $40/hr or $6,720 per shift (week)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced  Registered Nurse (RN)to provide high-quality, private in-home care to patients. This role involves providing complete nursing assessments, executing care plans, offering patient education, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed. The RN will coordinate their schedule with the patient and ensure care aligns with the patient’s individual plan of care and approved hours. The position requires local travel and 24/7 in-home care coverage for one-week assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients in their home setting, ensuring a high level of comfort and safety.
• Execute plan of care directives accurately and in accordance with physician’s orders.
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior to the case manager or healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the treating physician.
• Collaborate with case manager and physicians to ensure optimal patient care, including communication with specialists as needed.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and proper care management techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and provide detailed progress notes to the case manager regularly.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families during the course of care.
• Assist with ADLs as necessary, ensuring the patient’s comfort and dignity at all times.

Communication:

• Prepare and provide  clinical notes and charting to clients' case managers on the patient’s overall progress, including any changes in condition or care needs.

Shift Structure:

• 24/7 care coverage : As a Travel RN, you will provide round-the-clock care for patients for one week at a time, working with the patient’s family to coordinate shift schedules in accordance with the patient’s plan of care and approved hours.
• The position involves traveling and providing continuous care for the entire week-long assignment.

Qualifications:

• Tennessee RN License in good standing required.
• Ability to travel  for week-long assignments as required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing .
• CPR Certification required.
• Independent contractor status – you will manage your own schedule and work as an independent professional.
• Malpractice insurance is required.
• Ability to pass a full background check .
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential in providing top-tier care.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to various patient needs.

Pay Rate:

• $40/hr or $6,720 per shift  based on a 24/7 schedule.
