The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech is adding an intern (Sophomore level or above) focused on obtaining their 4-year degree in civil or environmental engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or environmental science (availability to start in May/June 2026) with interest in solid waste management and/or environmental remediation. This role will be based in our Middletown, NY office.

Our professionals are well known for their experience assisting clients in solid waste management, including organics management, remediation, hydrogeology, and air permitting, to name a few of our areas of expertise. Additionally, we assist our clients in all aspects of environmental remediation, from due diligence in support of financial and property transactions, litigation support, and the planning, design, and construction oversight during environmental remediation. We complete such environmental remediation work with clients in a variety of sectors, including commercial real estate, investment banking, pulp and paper, chemical manufacturing, and bulk petroleum storage, among others. Your Role:

Under direct supervision, this role will perform engineering and/or scientific tasks of a routine nature. Work may include a wide variety of technical projects from investigation through design, such as

• Compile data for project reports.

• Collect and compile field data as required.

• Assist in proposal efforts as directed.

• Document technical data for management review.

• Assist with the preparation of labor/material estimates and design/permitting packages for clients.

• Provide other office duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

• • Pursuit of bachelor's degree. Recommended in an engineering or science discipline.
• • Work with industry professionals and learn about environmental issues that challenge society.
• • Assist in proposal efforts as directed.
• • Document technical data for management review.
• • Assist with the preparation of labor/material estimates and design/permitting packages for clients.
• • Provide other office duties as assigned.
• • Encouraged to provide innovative ideas
  Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 an hour, commensurate with skill level and experience.
  Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
