Job Summary:
Were looking for a friendly, curious Junior Support Tech V to join our IT Support team. In this role you'll be the first or second point of contact for end users troubleshooting desktop and laptop issues, supporting common business applications, handling service tickets, and escalating complex problems to senior engineers. This is an entry-level role with clear career progression, ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, learns quickly, and wants to grow technical skills in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to user requests via ticketing system, phone, and chat
- Troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, and software issues
- Provide application support for standard business software
- Perform user account management tasks
- Remotely assist users and escalate issues when necessary
- Document solutions and maintain accurate records
- Assist with device imaging, deployment, and configuration
- Contribute to internal knowledge base and run books
Required Skills:
- Basic to intermediate troubleshooting of Windows and macOS
- Familiarity with Active Directory and user account administration
- Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools
- Understanding of networking fundamentals
- Basic hardware diagnostics and repair skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
Certifications (preferred but not required)
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, or equivalent.
Education and Experience:
Minimum
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 02 years of hands-on experience in help desk or technical support, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Internship or volunteer help desk experience.
- Any relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, etc.).
Compensation & Benefits:
- $50,000 - $75,000 per year (range dependent on location, skills, and experience). Salary is commensurate with experience.
