Multi‑Axis CNC Lathe/Mill Machinist

Primary Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specs to determine machining strategy.
• Set up, operate, and adjust CNC and manual machines: lathes, mills, grinders, and drills.
• Program, zero, and troubleshoot CNC equipment to hold exacting tolerances.
• Produce metal and plastic parts per specification using precision machining practices.
• Monitor runs; optimize toolpaths, offsets, and parameters for throughput and quality.
• Inspect finished components and correct deviations to meet quality standards.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with peers and supervisors to improve processes and meet production goals.
• Comply with safety rules and company procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a machinist with both CNC and conventional equipment.
• Ability to read and apply blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and the ability to diagnose/troubleshoot issues.
• Understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling, and precision measurement.
• Strong math skills to perform shop‑floor calculations.
• Detail‑oriented, quality‑driven, and organized.
• Physically able to lift materials and run machines for extended periods.
• Effective communicator and team player.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
