RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Patient Access Manager to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Patient Access Manager, you are responsible for managing patient access activities, which includes insurance pre-certification, authorization department, and order entry, and meeting the quality and operational goals (i.e. efficiency, productivity, etc.) for the patient access department. This role develops and maintains positive relationships with leadership, market departments, referring physicians and patients, and ensure the team is delivering the highest level of service. This is a full-time position, working 9-5:30 Monday - Friday.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

(35%) Department Operations

  • Prioritize workload for the insurance specialists to ensure all patients are contacted prior to their exam.
  • Provide ongoing and timely communication to management and staff regarding department performance, staff performance, events, issues, etc.
  • Actively monitor the quality of data entered by the teams on all incoming documentation.
  • Evaluate current processes and recommends changes within the workflow to ensure the effective fulfillment of objectives.
  • Assist in maintaining payor relationships in the market.
  • Maintain positive interactions with referring offices, patients, and center staff.
  • Interface with Operations, RCM, and/or all technical and administrative staff to ensure effective teamwork.
  • Review and maintain metrics to ensure that daily productivity targets are achieved.
  • Back up teams as needed.

(35%) Team Management

  • Support team members ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction
  • Ensure comprehensive knowledge of the company’s policies and procedures for all team members
  • Establish team member schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate center coverage
  • Monitor and approve timecards
  • Participate in staff planning and hiring process along with management
  • Initiate and participate in team member performance evaluations, compensation and development of team members including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/or terminations
  • Lead regular staff meetings and team member one-on-ones
  • Develop and monitor the teams’ performance through QA process
  • Develop and Implement training program for new team members
  • Foster a team environment, ensuring appropriate communication between departments

(25%) Department Planning

  • Plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound department operation.
  • Monitor overall performance and efficiency of the department

(5%) Completes other duties as assigned
