Job Description

Salary: $95,000 - 145,000 per year Requirements:

• I require a candidate with a 2 or 4-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• The ideal individual should possess over 3 years of experience in the software development field, particularly with web-based applications in PHP, preferably PHP5+, utilizing Object-Oriented design.
• I am looking for someone who has demonstrated experience in leading software development projects, gathering and analyzing requirements, and documenting both requirements and software designs for development.
• Familiarity with other web-based technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a must. Experience with Oracle as the backend RDBMS and developing applications for Linux is also highly regarded.
• A strong work ethic, excellent teamwork, a teachable mindset, and self-motivation to learn are essential traits.
• Willingness to travel and be on call for off-hours support is required.

Responsibilities:

• You will act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for assigned applications and business areas.
• I expect you to manage designated projects and perform requirements gathering and analysis for change requests or larger assignments.
• Your tasks will include development, support, and maintenance predominantly in PHP.
• You will design solutions based on requirements, feature lists, and bug reports, while also troubleshooting and debugging code as necessary.
• I need you to elucidate requirements and design documents for less experienced developers, coaching them in requirements gathering, design, and construction.
• Adhering to all Company, Department, and Workgroup policies and procedures is critical.
• I require you to manage your assigned tasks personally, provide regular status reports, participate in departmental meetings, and review the work of others with constructive feedback.
• Be open to receiving guidance and coaching while being available for travel and on-call support as needed.
