We are looking to fill a **Principal Scientist 1, 2, or 3 - Purification Chemist** position working as **a full-time employee of Parexel FSP on long-term assignment** onsite at one of our clients located in **Rahway, NJ** . This position offers full benefits, sick time, 401K, paid holidays, and paid time off. **This position does not offer any sponsorship.** **Description** - Purification Scientist within the Analytical Enabling Technology department. Apply knowledge and skillsets in chromatography, organic chemistry, or biochemistry to execute the purification of API, reaction products, process intermediates, byproducts, or impurities in an R&D laboratory. **Qualifications -** BS/MS /PhD in Chemistry or Biochemistry and relevant experience in chromatographic purification and with a focus on SFC PREP purification . + **Principal Scientist I** - PhD < 1 year experience; MS with 3+ years; BS with 7+ years + **Principal Scientist II** - PhD > 1 year experience; MS with 5+ years; BS with 10+ years + **Principal Scientist III** - PhD with 3+ years of experience, MS with 7+ years; BS with 12+ years **Required Skills and Experience** + Expertise in preparative chromatographic purification from recent industry experience or research + Background in the separation of multicomponent mixtures + Strong laboratory skills, chromatographic skills, and wet chemistry skills + Strong technical problem-solving skills + Excellent verbal and written communication skills **Desired Skills and Experience** + Deep appreciation of the interplay between chemical structure and physical properties + Thorough understanding of chromatography principles, technologies and mass spectrometry + Experienced in SFC chromatographic technologies, instrumentation, and PREP workflow development **Responsibilities** + Execution of purification requests from process R&D, including timely sample preparation, analytical-scale method screening, PREP scale-up development, PREP purification execution, with little to no supervision + Documentation and reporting of results in an electronic notebook system + Interaction with other technical groups with effective communication of results and coordination with other team members to streamline the workload **About Parexel FSP** The CMC Operations group is part of Parexel FSP.
