Role description: Arcadis is seeking a Project Chemist to join the Resilience Team. The project chemist will be responsible for QAPP preparation (UFP and text base) and DQO development, assessment of usability of data (verification/validation) of environmental data produced from the analysis of environmental samples in diverse matrices associated with a variety of organic, inorganic, and wet chemistry parameters. The project chemist will also assist project teams with trouble shooting sampling and analysis issues that rise during the lifecycle of the project. The project chemist will be responsible for coordination/performing initial verification/validation, final report preparation, data usability summary report, and assisting with data management of the final data qualifiers applied to the reviewed data. This role will sit within the larger Global Resilience Business Area. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Role accountabilities: The Project Chemist must possess environmental laboratory experience with knowledge of the DoD Quality Systems Manual (QSM), Superfund and SW-846 methods of various parameters such as (GCMS of volatile or semi-volatile organic compounds, PCBs/pesticides, Dioxins, PFAS, metals and inorganic analyses. Familiarity with National Functional Guidelines for data review, multiple EPA Regional guidelines, DoD Data Validation procedures in addition to the use of automated tools such as EQuIS DQM, Locus DQM, FUDSCHEM or similar Automated Data Review (ADR) programs (e.g., ADR-NET).
