We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and manage our Quality Department, ensuring that all products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Position Summary :
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Sensical Inc.’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. This role includes managing the Quality Department, implementing quality control processes, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring strict adherence to customer and industry standards. The Quality Manager will work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to drive a culture of quality excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Department Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the Quality Department, including the Quality Control Technicians.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and professional development to the quality team to enhance skills and ensure best practices.
  • Allocate resources and assign responsibilities to support production, engineering, and customer requirements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the department and across the company to ensure quality excellence at every level.
  • Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to proactively and reactively resolve issues. 

Quality Management & Compliance:

  • Maintain and enhance ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Oversee internal, supplier, and customer audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and documented.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor inspection, testing, and validation processes for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
  • Lead non-conformance investigations, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and drive root cause analysis (RCA) processes.
  • Maintain and manage all quality documentation, procedures, and records to meet industry and regulatory standards.

Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving:

  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve quality performance, reduce defects, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Utilize SPC (Statistical Process Control), FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) tools to monitor and improve manufacturing quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and implement process improvements.
  • Develop KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to measure quality performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Customer & Supplier Quality Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues, ensuring timely responses and resolutions.
  • Work closely with suppliers to improve incoming material quality and establish supplier quality management processes.
  • Maintain on-time completion of customer required documentation. 
  • Conduct supplier quality audits to ensure adherence to Sensical Inc.'s quality standards.
  • Utilize customer portals to communicate quality performance, track issues, and drive quality improvements in alignment with customer expectations.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing environment (preferably custom manufacturing or automotive services).
  • ISO 9001:2015 experience required; ISO Lead Auditor certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing Quality Assurance Supervisors and Quality Control Technicians.
  • In-depth knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective actions, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency with SPC, FMEA, PPAP, APQP, control plans, and other quality tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to drive quality initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/MES systems.
  • Certifications (CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ISO Lead Auditor) are a plus.
