The Creative and Expressive Arts Therapies (CEAT) department at Western Psychiatric Hospital (WPH) is looking for a Recreation Therapist to join the team. CEAT department includes Art, Dance/Movement, Music, Recreation, and Yoga therapies. Including this position, we are a team of 8 therapists serving all of the inpatient units in the hospital. The CEAT department was first formed in the early 1980s and has played an important role in patient care throughout its tenure. As a team we provide on-unit interventions as well as some off-unit or multi-unit initiatives. **_Recreation Therapist levels I,II and III candidates will be considered for this role. The title and pay rate (minimum rate for Recreation Therapist I is $20.52 ; Recreation Therapist II is $21.86; Therapist III is $23.61) for these positions may vary depending on education level and years of experience._** **Responsibilities:** **Therapy and Documentation** + Conduct therapy sessions using Recreation Therapy principles. + Document assessments, treatment progress, and training activities. **Training, Supervision, and Meetings** + Facilitate training/orientation activities. + Supervise students with senior staff support. + Attend department and interdisciplinary meetings. + Attend 1-3 in-services/trainings yearly. **Quality, Safety, and Certification** + Follow hospital quality and safety guidelines. + Manage supplies responsibly and safely. + Maintain professional certification/licensure. + Communicate with department and patient units. **Performance** + Complete assigned work timely and productively. + Adhere to system-wide competencies/behaviors. + Perform other duties as assigned. Recreation Therapist I: + Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field required. + CTRS Certification Required + One year of clinical experience preferred. + Experience in Mental Health setting preferred. + Experience with creating and implementing community integration outings preferred. Recreation Therapist II: + Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field required. + Two years of clinical experience required. + Master's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related filed preferred. + CTRS Certification Required Recreation Therapist III: + Master's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related filed required. + Four years of clinical experience required. + Demonstrated leadership experience preferred. + CTRS Certification Required _ATTENTION: A COPY OF YOUR OFFICIAL HIGHEST DEGREE LEVEL TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE ATTACHED FOR CONSIDERATION._ Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: CCM training is required within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter + Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist + Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) + Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC) + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal + Act 33 with renewal + Act 34 with renewal + Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal _UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran_
