Responsibilities:
- Administering chemotherapy treatments.
- Performing patient assessments and monitoring vital signs.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Managing patient medications and documenting care accurately.
- Educating patients and families about their treatment and care.
- Collaborating with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
- Responding to patient needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum of two years of experience in oncology nursing.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Chemotherapy certification.
- Ability to administer chemotherapy safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
Special Considerations:
- Mandatory work on two major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
