Job Title: Utility Inspector Job Description We are seeking an entry Utility Inspector with 1-2 years of construction related experience to join our team in replacing lead service lines with copper ones. This role involves inspecting water mains and other structures to ensure their structural soundness, safety, and compliance with codes and regulations. Responsibilities + Inspect water mains and other structures such as roads, dams, bridges, etc., to ascertain structural soundness, safety, and compliance with codes and regulations. + Document inspection results, including deterioration, structural condition, deficiencies, and any needed sampling. + Monitor progress and contribute to construction reports and project status reports. + Oversee and coordinate construction-related services on projects. + Conduct on-site investigations and review relevant data, including maps, reports, tests, and drawings. + Comply with guidelines and regulations, including permits and safety, and deliver technical files and documentation as required. + Work Environment The role requires canvassing and surveying areas, inspecting pipes, and taking photos. A mobile app on a tablet will guide the process. Work hours are from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime pay. A vehicle is required, and mileage will be reimbursed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elizabeth, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
