Job Description

DSI, a distributor for AT&T and DirecTV hardware, is looking for a motivated and dependable Warehouse Lead to support and oversee key aspects of our logistics operations, including receiving, returns, warehousing, and distribution. This position is responsible for managing the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of a diverse range of products, while also ensuring any value-added services are executed effectively. The ideal candidate will help maintain a smooth workflow and ensure that productivity targets are consistently met, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of our warehouse operations.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, with working hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with the company’s policies and vision
  • Oversee receiving, returns, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies
  • Plan work quotas, assign tasks appropriately, and appraise results
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, etc.)
  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Warehouse Lead
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have intermediate computer skills,
  • preferably in a warehouse environment that utilizes FedEx and local freight carriers as well as Outlook
