Job Description

Job Title: Weld Engineer Job Description As a Weld Engineer, you will be responsible for performing welding operative procedures and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). Your role will involve working closely with the production engineering department to improve welding process technologies and ensure the qualification of welding processes and welders. You will analyze welding and metallurgical problems, follow up on suppliers' welding issues, and collaborate with the Quality/Engineering Departments to verify the adequacy of welding AWS or ISO 3834-2 processes, ensuring their correct execution. Additionally, you will support other plants within the group to address welding-related concerns. Responsibilities + Perform welding operative procedures and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). + Cooperate with the production engineering department to improve welding process technologies. + Conduct welding process and welder qualifications. + Address and resolve suppliers' welding issues. + Analyze welding and metallurgical problems. + Collaborate with Quality/Engineering Departments to verify the adequacy of welding AWS or ISO 3834-2 processes. + Support other plants in the group with welding issues. Essential Skills + Proficiency in welding engineering. + Knowledge of Certified Welder Engineer (CWE) or Certified Weld Instructor (CWI) standards. + Experience with robotic welding and Fanuc robots. + Ability to perform root cause analysis. + Background in metallurgical engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline. + Minimum of 3 years of weld engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. + Minimum of 3 years of weld robotics experience, preferably with Fanuc robots. Work Environment This is a fully on-site position. The work environment is hot due to the weld manufacturing process. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
