Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) is looking for a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual. The ideal candidate should excel in customer service and have a keen eye for detail, as the role involves repairing and maintaining a commercial building in Downtown Oahu. Candidates should possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle for work. They must also pass a background check. Previous experience as a maintenance technician or in a related field is preferred. We warmly welcome enthusiastic applicants! Full-Time Painter/Utility Maintenance Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs: plumbing, electrical, mechanical and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), painting, drywall, and grounds maintenance
• Excellent customer service skills to interact with property managers, vendors, customers, etc.
• Involves constant movement, standing, walking, bending, able to stretch during shifts
• Able to lift, push, pull, press, carry a minimum of 50lbs up to 75lbs
• Ensure mechanical equipment and systems are working in order and fixed as necessary.
• Create and maintain work orders
• Create and maintain purchase orders
• Perform any additional maintenance related duties as required by HBM supervisor/property management

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must pass background check
• High school diploma/GED
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• General preventative maintenance experience is required (Painting, drywall, basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC)
• Work in tight, warm, humid, and cold spaces
• Clean equipment AHU coils, machines and floors
• Troubleshooting abilities
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Must have good public relations skills and communication
• Customer service oriented
• Strong organizational skills
• Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 50lbs (up to 75lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb up and down ladders and stairway, stretch, walk, walk up and down a stairway, climb up/down a ladder and stand throughout their shift.

Schedule: 40 hours a week **Must have open availability, subjective to emergencies: after hours, weekends and holidays** After probation schedule is subject to change: Monday-Friday: 8am - 4:30pm during training.
